Responsibilities

Assists the collections team with general administrative tasks, including handling departmental correspondence, address changes, and skip tracing, as needed.

 

  • Assists with the collection process on overdue accounts by completing skip tracing and address changes, as needed.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate collection activity records. Documents all correspondence with customers.
  • Reviews and processes all incoming departmental correspondence, distributing to the appropriate teams using workload distribution software.
  • Identifies potential customer account issues through review of daily, weekly, and monthly generated reports and queries.
  • Evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements that positively influence the customers’ experience.

    Qualifications

    Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Minimum one to three years related collection or customer service experience required; or equivalent education and years of experience.

     

    Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsNone

     

    Management/Decision MakingMakes standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with little independent judgment.  Problems are generally solved with clear, detailed guidelines or by reporting them to a supervisor.

     

    Knowledge and SkillsHas a basic level of a skill and can follow written or verbal instructions. Has basic technical skills to complete a few repetitive and well-defined duties.  Has a basic knowledge of the organization in order to answer basic questions.
