Senior Associate – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Brookfield Asset Management LLC) – Perform due diligence including comprehensive project finance, credit and valuation analyses for Brookfield’s Infrastructure Debt platform fund. Develop and review detailed financial models. Perform due diligence including operational, financial, valuation and industry analyses. Conduct asset, corporate and industry research. Prepare presentation materials and analyses for the fund’s investment committees and third parties. Source and screen new investment opportunities. Monitor new and existing investments. Interact with management teams and fund investors. Assist in fundraising workstreams. Assess legal risks, execute credit documentation, and conduct structuring and legal documentation review. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business with concentration in Finance, or Accounting, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or as an analyst or associate for investment banking, infrastructure investments, or asset management firm. All required experience must have included performing in-depth research and business, financial and operational due diligence on renewable energy industry companies to evaluate transaction opportunities involving project finance/infrastructure and power and renewable energy assets (offshore wind, battery storage, or hydrogen infrastructure); performing debt structuring of loans for infrastructure or renewable energy assets; constructing financial models using tools and sources, such as Microsoft Excel Suite, S&P Capital IQ platform, Bloomberg L.P. Terminal, PitchBook Financial Database and FactSet Research System; drafting term sheets, letters of intent or offer letters; and producing client ready investment materials providing updates on renewable energy assets market landscape.
