Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drives any and all Laboratory automotive vehicles under any conditions of usage.
- Loads and unloads vehicles.
- Performs related clerical duties.
- Safely handle and transport furniture and other equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires a High School diploma, GED, or higher.
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL license within 6 months of being hired.
- Must meet all DOT/ BNL medical protocols.
- Must understand and comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations.
- Must be able to complete all the requirements of the Job Training Assessment within 6 months of being hired, which includes:
- Compressed Gas Safety
- General Employee Radiological
- General Hazmat Transportation
- Forklift Operator
- Ability to perform material handling tasks in a wide variety of conditions using various material handling equipment.
- Must have a verifiable "acceptable leave record".
- Ability to work in a team setting and be customer focused.
- Must have a telephone and must provide the number to BNL for callout and contact purposes.
- Must follow written instruction procedures, work orders, and similar documents.
- Ability to operate handheld electronic scanner equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to obtain a Class A CDL if required.
