The Brooking Park is hiring a passionate and creative individual to join our team as the Weekend Activities Assistant. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and well-organized individual who enjoys enriching the lives of others through physical and mental activities. One year experience with working in a senior care environment preferred.
The duties and responsibilities of the Weekend Activities Assistant include but are not limited to the following: Reports to the Director of Life Enrichment, planning and carrying out activities for residents, developing and implementing a program of physical, mental and spiritual activities which will assist the residents to live life fully and as naturally as possible, in accordance with current existing federal, state and local standards, and as established by company policy and procedure.
The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities. To include a social and healthy environment and to improve the resident’s daily physical and mental lives. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend and evenings is a must.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrates ability in the areas of creativity, communication and organization.
- Understanding of cultural and diversity and the needs of an aging population.
- Welcome new residents, assist in answering their questions, and involve them in the community.
- Organize, schedule and supervise activities.
- Some experience in Power point, publisher, excel, word, Microsoft preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.15 - $20.00 per hour
