The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400 businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields.
A Brooklyn based eyeglass manufacturer is seeking a full-time CNC Operator.

Education and Experience:
- 1 year of experience in CNC operation or similar occupation
- Highschool diploma or associate degree
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (speeds & feed rates)
- Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain Activity logs
- Monitor raw goods, always making sure to be appropriately stocked
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
