Full Stack Python Developer

Location: Greenwood Village, CO 80111

Contract Duration: 3-6-month contract to hire

Bill Rate: TBD – market rate for now.

Overview: The Engineering team within Application Platform Services is looking to bring on four Full Stack Python Developers. These individuals will be supporting the build out of new features and refinements for two internal platforms.

One Full Stack Python Developer will be more heavily focused on front-end development to standardize the appearance of the 6-7 platforms the team oversees.

Skillset:

• 1 years of experience with Full Stack Python Development
• Open to varying levels from more associate through senior
• Experience with React on the front end and Django.
• Angular or experience with Microservices is a nice to have.
• Looking for someone who is curious, loves to learn and is interested in working in a collaborative environment. Team culture is very important to this group.

Day to day

• Full stack development using Python and Django to build new features and refinements for two platforms
• One platform is used by internal teams to generate reports about Devices that are in the field. This platform is used for troubleshooting, pushing out updates and automating firmware tasks.
• The other platform focuses on end-to-end device testing.
• Front end development in React and Angular
• Participate in daily standups and complete assigned stories using JIRA
• Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible and unit-tested appropriately
• Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers on the team in addition to our product managers, scrum masters and project managers.
• Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend and execute the best resolution
• Implement new requirements within our Agile delivery methodology while following our established architectural principles
• Manage detailed application requirements and collaborate with project /development teams to ensure quality function, features and user experience
• Test software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements

Team overview: 9 engineers on the team right now. They are very collaborative and culture is important. Like to problem solve together and participate in team events.

Interview Process: One step interview process with the hiring manager and a few engineers. This interview will be conducted virtually. The first 20-30 minutes will focus on questions related to resume/past experience. The second half of the interview will be a live coding challenge so need to be prepared to share their screen.
