Job Profile Summary
The Instructional Technologist - Blended Learning works with the Instructional Design team under the supervision of the Dean of Online Campus and E-Learning. This position provides instructional design support and consultation to foster the design, development, and delivery of quality teaching and learning in Broward College's learning management system. In this role, the Instructional Technologist provides faculty technical support, training, resources, and guidance on blended pedagogy and innovative technologies that engage students and contribute to their success.

In this role, the Instructional Technologist provides faculty technical support, training, resources, and guidance on blended pedagogy and innovative technologies that engage students and contribute to their success.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree in an academic discipline, multimedia, computer technology, or education related field required.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered where applicable.
- Four years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge and experience with learning management systems and web-based course development and delivery.
- Weekly - 30%: Course Development: Provides assistance and conducts complex analysis in the design and development of all courses and programs for Broward College Online. Provides instructional design support to faculty involved in developing and/or revising programs and courses. Conducts course reviews and provide constructive feedback to online faculty developers to ensure the quality and timely completion of online courses.
- Weekly -30%: Course Delivery: Evaluates and assists instructors in preparing for course delivery. Ensures instructors receive correct course content and understand expectations. Assists and troubleshoots issues for instructors during the delivery of online courses. Assist online instructors in collecting and submitting grades on time.
- Weekly - 20%: Provides various instructional technology related services for online instructors. Guides faculty in the design and development of course syllabi, course content, course assessments, and learning activities for online courses. Assists faculty to integrate new instructional strategies to engage students in the online environment, promote active learning, achieve learning outcomes, and improve student success.
- Weekly -10%: Professional Development: Assists in the coordination of professional development workshops for existing and potential online instructors. Assists in the on-going revision and improvement of professional development workshops.
- Weekly -10%: Special Projects: Works with Instructional Technology team on special projects such as tutorials, applications, open educational resources etc.
- Knowledge of multimedia instructional technologies in education, including learning management systems. Demonstrated ability to design, create and deliver digital content and instructional materials using appropriate development tools. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience working in educational settings is a plus.
