SummaryUnder direct supervision, the purpose of the job is to enforce local, state, and federal laws, and ensures compliance with college policies and procedures.
Provides security for personnel, real property, and equipment. Investigates and documents crimes / incidents, documents and preserves evidence, and provides legal testimony.
Maintains a safe and secure learning and working environment, promote staff development and ensures public awareness of health and safety issues.
Performs related work as directed.

Minimum Education :
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience / Training :
Typically one year of functional experience in related field of work preferred.
Minimum Certification / Licenses :
Valid Florida Driver’s License required or, as a condition of continued employment, a Valid Florida Driver’s License within 30 days after beginning employed by the College.
Essential Functions :
Daily - 10% : Performs related duties as assigned.
Daily - 10% : Operates miscellaneous equipment including AEDs, Evacu-trac chair, video surveillance, emergency vehicles, and vehicle jump starters.
As Needed - 5% : Trains new employees and provides on-going training.
Daily - 25% : Provides building security, including locking and unlocking doors.
Daily -25% : Patrols college property, in a vehicle or on foot, to provide security and traffic law enforcement.
Daily - 15% : Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, conducts investigations, and prepares detailed reports.
Daily - 10% : Renders first aid at accidents; provides security escort services; provides public assistance.
