Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.Executes, develops, and implements planning work related to urban planning (comprehensive planning, demographics, and GIS (geographical information system)).Receives, routes and responds to plan review requests; responds to phone and e-mail inquiries related to comments provided; coordinates the review process; maintains databases and plan files; accepts plans on behalf of the agency.Responds to co-worker, contractors and citizen requests regarding plans, policies, standards, projects, and inspections.Writes technical staff reports for County Commission agenda items primarily related to plats, including analysis and recommendations, to ensure compliance with the Broward County Land Development Code.Conducts development review for the front counter/e-permits, assessing and collecting impact fees to ensure compliance with plat restrictions/conditions of approval.Serves as agency analyst regarding proposed land development legislation, coordinates with other agencies and works directly with lobbyists to support or oppose pending legislation based on impacts to the County.Receives, schedules and provides punch lists for pavement marking and signs, school flashers, signals and communications inspections; determines if the project is ready to be accepted by the agency for maintenance and signs-off on inspections.Manages projects in the unincorporated neighborhoods; develops policies, goals and programs for the unincorporated areas of Broward County.Attends central County Home Owner Association meetings; manages the Central County Community Redevelopment Agency website; prepares Central County Community Advisory Board meeting packages consisting of meeting agenda and backup material.Prepares and submits all airport airspace studies and categorical exclusions for on airport projects; plans and develops aircraft gate parking at the contact gates and apron layouts for the overnight aircraft which includes numerous planning studies; assists in the development and creation of the airport layout plan which includes tracking on airport projects as well as off airport projects for airspace impacts.Assists in general management of section operations; creates and maintains GIS datasets; provides GIS products and analysis for decision making; collects, manipulates and analyzes demographic data; provides assistance and information related to demographics to the general public and other governmental agencies.Implements and administrates comprehensive planning functions in compliance with state statute requirements.Reviews sources of information, current literature and recent developments regarding urban planning and provide recommendations to project leaders.Performs related work as assigned.
