Brown & Brown is seeking a Claims Consultant for our Personal Lines team in Lynden, Washington!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Advise and guide our customers regarding their claims and coverage needs.
Take first reports of claims
Document claims in Agency Automation System for loss reported
Keep the customers informed of the status of their claim
Assist the insured with organizing, documenting and presenting small and large property loss claims
Assist insured with negotiating with total loss on autos to their carrier
Research and conduct coverage analysis on claims
Review and offer rebuttals as necessary to coverage disclaimers.
Track and look for any sizeable reserves or reserve changes and notify appropriate parties as needed
Record all activities in claims files in the agency automation system as defined in the Claims Procedures
Inform appropriate personnel of claims issues involving clients
Promptly handle Summons & Complaints, informing appropriate personnel adhering to the Claims Procedures
Create and Present Claims training to staff
Visit Customers and Carriers as agreed with Producers and other account management staff
Close claim and all associated activities upon conclusion of claim
Work with the Insurance Operations Liaison, Teammates, and Team Leaders for Incident Reporting per the B&B Legal protocols.
Additional duties/projects as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years’ experience in either Personal & Commercial Lines
Washington State Producer License
Valid Drivers’ License
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Working knowledge of carrier websites (Preferred)
Professional designations (ARM, CRM, CIC, CPCU, AIC, AAI) (Preferred)
Experience with AMS/ImageRight (Preferred)
