The Consumer Team at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our team. This vertical focuses on several key areas: Branded Consumer Products and E-Commers, including both upstream and downstream transactions. This position is based out of our Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities:
- Supports senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
- Performs financial analysis and modeling
- Conducts industry research and business due diligence
- Participates in marketing efforts
- Develops client presentation materials
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of previous experience in M&A Investment Banking
- Bachelor’s Degree required (majoring in Business, Finance or Accounting)
- Sell side M&A experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
- Proven track record of strong transaction execution including presentations, financial analysis, transaction marketing documents and preparation of other materials
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and organization skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
