Candidate will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for achieving certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by participation in the Nursing Aide program. After successfully completing the 8 hour online course and supervised training along with skills checks, the nursing assistant will perform services for which they have been trained and found to be competent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.:
- Understand and utilize care plans.
- Learn to understand diet card and can identify dietary restrictions and/or special diets.
- Learn to provide assistance with meals as requested (tray delivery, feeding etc).
- Learn/give/demonstrate proper procedures for bathing.
- Learn/provide/demonstrate proper procedures for personal hygiene.
- Learn/provide/demonstrate proper procedures for external/indwelling catheter care.
- Learn to record patient intake and output as requested.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to recognize signs and symptoms of abuse and/or change in patient condition.
- Learn/demonstrate proper documentation in accordance with established procedure.
- Receive and give report on patient’s status or condition.
- Assist patients to and from activities as requested.
- Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast on changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.
- Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.
- Comply with Corporate Compliance Program.
- Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
- Communicates well with patients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to family/visitors/patients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor, answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner.
