Brown West Logistics and Brown Aviation Logistics are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Corporate Director of Operational Excellence & Innovation to join our growing team. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our future by designing and implementing strategies that enhance our operational efficiency, drive sustainable growth, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Lead the network-wide development and implementation of an ISO compliant Quality Management System (QMS) and Warehouse Labor Management (LMS) strategy/program while leveraging industry best practices and establishing productivity targets, measurement and reporting unique to each facility and its customer(s).
Challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement by collaborating with leaders and customers to understand operational pain points and then implement standardized and optimized systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and satisfaction.
Project Managers will report into this role. This role will be required to manage and centralize the Project Managers in the network and will align these resources to implement Operational Excellence initiatives. This job will also be responsible for measuring, reporting, and improving the utilization and effectiveness of the Project Management team to achieve superior results.
Assess industry products use and application of market leading innovation and technology strategies to achieve operational effectiveness and cost competitiveness across existing and future customer base. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal Business Intelligence team and technology vendors to assist in accomplishing this.
Partner directly with Corporate Safety team to standardize and implement safety programs across network of sites.
Oversee and support the development and reporting of new or existing customer KPI’s and SLA’s at every facility within the network.
ROI Development and Presentation of technology and innovation solutions for customers across network of sites.
Lead the network-wide development, training, implementation, and sustainment of 5S, Lean Six Sigma programs. Become fluent and proficient in network financial performance, spreadsheet interpretation and budgeting process.
Translate the company’s strategic and tactical business plans into departmental objectives that deliver measurable cost savings.
Develop professional presentations and deliver information to key internal and external stakeholders.
Five plus years of operational experience, preferably in supply chain field
Knowledge and Skills
Lean/Six Sigma training. Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively on own with minimal supervision and support multiple projects in order to meet defined deadlines.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in the use and support of all MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Exhibit commitment to lean financial management practices, including timely expense reporting.

50% travel will be required.
Duties include administrative functions such as using the phone, computer, and communicating with people.
This job will require occasional lifting of no more than 50 pounds.
Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day, perform keyboard operations and must be able to stand / climb stairs as required.
Position can be located in Atlanta, Georgia or Chattanooga, TN.
