What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Lead position at Brown Paper Goods?
Brown Paper Goods is a privately owned paper packaging manufacturer specializing in disposable paper packaging. We are located in a well-maintained industrial park in Coppell.
Looking for a Packaging Lead to support the manufacturing operations. You will be directing and coordinating the Packer personnel.
Great 1st shift hours 6am to 2:30pm - Air conditioned - Clean work environment
Duties:
- Assign the packers to machines according to the schedule
- Monitor the packer workflow to ensure bags are packed correctly and count is accurate
- Ensure the bags are being quality checked per job pocket
- Training new packers
- Relieve packers for breaks as necessary
- Advise supervisors of any absences and problems
Requirements:
- Must have good communication skills with management and workers
- Must be able to lead and direct packers to get the job done
- General math required for accurate box counts
- Reading and writing required for paperwork
- Previous experience in manufacturing required
- The Lead will be required to be on the floor walking, standing, bending, and some lifting for the entire shift.
