What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - 1st Shift position at BRP?
HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm CST.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, schedules, inspection plans, control charts and validates documentation
- Assist production employees in performing standard assemblies
- Advise employees on how to adjust and use precision instruments
- Audit operations to ensure employees comply with BRP quality standards
- Analyze data and make recommendations to improve processes
- Collaborate with other departments to solve problems effectively
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers and measuring tape
- Read blueprints
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Preferred Qualificatoins & Skills:
- High School Diploma required
- 1-3 yrs experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Solid problem solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain an orderly and safe work area using 5-S principles
- "Self-starter" with ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a team and with a diverse group of individuals
- Strong detail orientation & organizational skills
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing scheduling requirements including working overtime or non-standard hours before and after shift as well as weekends
