Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Scope:

As a member of the BRC Shipping Team, the Shipping Clerk will be responsible for unloading and checking incoming and outgoing deliveries, preparing and processing parts ready for shipment, and ensuring the accuracy of receipts and shipment of all orders. Attention to detail and the ability to work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process inbound and outbound shipments through the BRC ERP system (Global Shop Solutions)
  • Prepare shipments for transport including inspecting and packing parts, wrapping and loading pallets, and paperwork preparation
  • Load shipments using a forklift, pallet jack, or manual material handling methods
  • Complete accurate packing lists, bills of lading, and other necessary shipping records and reports
  • Oversee returned goods area for customer returns and defective merchandise
  • Assist in counting and movement of physical inventory
  • Ensure the shipping facility location is accessible, safe, and clean
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Job Skills:

  • Personal computer skills, including routine database activity and record keeping.
  • Ability to learn Bruckman Rubber specific computer programs
  • Knowledge of safe operation of lift trucks and material handling devices
  • Attention to detail with a sense of urgency
  • High degree of organization and accuracy
  • Multi-tasking and shifting from one job to the next with confidence
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
