To strengthen the SCiLS Lab development team we are looking for a Software Developer R&D (m/f/d).

Responsibilities
- As part of our software development team, you will focus on the development and implementation of innovative data analysis and visualization features.
- You analyze technological challenges in the SCiLS Lab data analysis functionalities and investigate state-of-the art methods and algorithms to overcome them.
- Together with the whole development team, you are responsible for implementing these methods into the SCiLS software, maintaining our high standards of robustness, performance, stability, and code maintainability.
- You are involved in pre-development and research activities with external collaborators and act as a link between research partners and the development team.
Qualifications
- You have a degree in mathematical data science, industrial mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics or comparable knowledge and skills.
- A background in mass spectrometry, proteomics or metabolomics is a great benefit
- You have expert knowledge of state-of-the-art data science and machine learning methods and their application in life science and medical engineering.
- You have sound knowledge in software development using programming languages Python, R, and C .
- You are familiar with the agile software development process.
- You are familiar with professional software development tools (e.g. version control system, issue tracking, build system, automated testing).
- You are characterized by high quality standards, as well as creativity, perseverance and a structured, systematic working method.
- You show a high level of social competence and enjoy actively contributing to your team.
- You have a good command of English and German.
