Introduction
Brunel is seeking a Projects Manager to deliver the expected results for our client’s project within the constraints of time, cost, and quality, in accordance with our clients’ requirements. They will oversee all activities and internal/external resources of this project, ensuring to meet or exceed customer expectations. The project involves installing a new range of value-added products. To achieve these objectives, the Major Projects Manager will be involved in the project from the technical review phase (FEL3) and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all subsequent project processes: from execution phase to closure phase, ensuring a smooth and effective transition.
Responsibilities
- Leading, mobilizing, and defining the roles of project collaborators including multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, affiliated engineering firms, and subcontractors.
- Identifying priorities, communicating them, and regularly presenting project progress to our clients "Global Management Capital" group leaders with key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Ensuring the implementation and compliance of safety plans and training for contractors and participating in safety reviews and audits.
- Ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.
- Adhering to budget forecasts, design plans, and execution schedules based on deliverables, costs, and identified resources.
- Evaluating threats and opportunities in estimates and allocating appropriate contingencies in estimates.
- Assessing proposed changes based on criteria such as project objectives, costs, schedule, threats, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Academic background in industrial engineering, mechanical, electrical, or metallurgical materials, or a concentration in industrial project management.
- 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including 5 years on major projects (CAD $50 million and above).
- Accreditation with the professional Engineer (PE) licensing or equivalent.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to communicate with various project stakeholders in French and English.
- Capacity to influence and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of information technologies.
