Bruning & Associates, P.C. is a general civil litigation law practice with offices in Crystal Lake, Schaumburg, and Chicago. We provide services in all areas of civil law including but not limited to Family Law and Divorce, Estate Planning, Bankruptcy and Foreclosure, Business and Commercial litigation, Tax law, Condominium and Homeowner Associations, Immigration, Personal Injury, and Real Estate. We strive to use our special talents to help and serve the people and communities throughout the greater Chicagoland area and surrounding counties.
We are now looking for an Accountant to add to our growing team. The successful candidate will show strong ability to develop and maintain the management of the firm’s accounts receivables, accounts payable, and other accounting functions. They will also demonstrate an ability to maintain and manage the firm’s financial statements and deliver results in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile firm bank accounts daily and prepare reports to present to management
- Manage and perform monthly invoicing to firm’s clients
- Assemble financial data for financial reports
- Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns, and miscellaneous charges
- Enter and balance accounts receivable and accounts payable daily
- Maintain and manage firm payroll
- Manage firms accounts receivables and identify overdue accounts
- Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect overdue amounts or negotiate a payment plan to collect in installments
- Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer
- Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing
- Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Accounting required (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent communication and administrative skill
- Excellent organization and time management skill
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with bank reconciliation and tracking credit card and ACH transactions
- Experience with managing and administering accounts receivables, collections
- Experience with managing and administering accounts payables
- Experience with billing and invoicing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,608.00 - $89,794.00 per year
