What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Mechanic position at Brunswick School Department?
CDL - Class B - S & P Endorsements driver's license, Disk Brake certification, Maine State Motor Vehicle Inspection. Knowledge of and ability to perform mechanical duties as a lead mechanic. Ensures standards of repair and maintains quality control in full compliance with all district, Board of Education, state, and federal laws. Day-to-day operations and communication with operations personnel and drivers. Performs journeyman-level work in the repair, service, and maintenance of school buses and related vehicular equipment. Computer experience and experience with fleet software. Reports to the Director of Transportation. Coordinates with the transportation director to complete projects, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), work orders, and invoices completed on time.
Hourly pay wage is $31.34, with a 6 month probationary period ($0.50 less).
