DAYTIME Ice Cream Scooper/Cashier

Bruster's Real Ice Cream in Stone Ridge/South Riding/Aldie, Virginia currently HIRING for WEEKDAY, DAYTIME Scoopers/Cashiers. Hours are M-F from 11am-5pm (some flexibility with days/times to create a schedule that works for both parties, ie hours could end at 3pm, can work a minimum of 3 of the 5 week days, etc). **MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK DURING SCHOOL YEAR TO APPLY**

SUMMARY: The overall responsibility of a Bruster's Ice Cream Scooper is to create an experience that encourages customers to come back.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Serve and satisfy customers

2. Prepare all Bruster's products

3. General cleaning and maintenance

4. Operate point of sales system

5. Restock products/supplies as needed

6. Follow Opening and Closing procedures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: A food service or customer service background is helpful, but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess math skills sufficient to make change for customers quickly and accurately.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: The position of the Ice Cream Scooper requires friendliness and a high energy level. Scoopers should be team players, who are mature, willing to go above and beyond for both the customer and the team, and are constantly taking initiative and striving to achieve to the best of their abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; scoop and portion all of our retail and wholesale products; lift up to 50 lbs.
