This is an part time onsite teaching position at Bryan University in Tempe, Arizona. We will consider applicants in the state of Arizona only. You must be able to commute to Bryan University at least 3 days a week. This role has the potential to go to full time.
Pay: $35-$40 per hour DOE

Position Summary of the Part time CNA Instructor:
We believe in liberating the innate greatness in people. The instructor is responsible for planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments as well as assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations. The instructor will also report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data.
The mission of the Instructor in the Education Department, regardless of the curriculum, is to provide the student(s), our customer(s), with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the field of their chosen program of study. To accomplish this mission, all instructors will utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director of Education or their designee.

Responsibilities of the part time CNA Instructor:
- Provide an educational experience where each student has the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual and emotional growth.
- Prepare and implement activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Actively engage in individual, or small group, tutoring and remediation using synchronous and asynchronous tools.
- Create and curate instructional content, including video, for students related to current trends and practices in the industry.
- Integrate established, and emerging, teaching and learning strategies into the classroom and student interactions.
- Conduct proactive and reactive student outreach regularly.
- Provide individualized and timely feedback on student assessments within SOP guidelines.
- Provide regular feedback to the Program Director on student progress or opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training, development, and program meetings.
- Respond to student questions and needs on weekdays as well as weekends.
- Other special projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must hold a current, AZ registered nurse license (RN) that is active and in good standing under A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15.
- Provide documentation of a minimum of one-year full time or 1500 hours employment providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting; and at a minimum, one of the following:
- Successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution,
- Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization.
- One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator, or one year of full time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience required in subsection (C)(1)(a).
- Must have one year of long term care experience.
- In addition to the program instruction requirements in R4-19-801(C), a nursing assistant program instructor shall provide on-site supervision for each student placed in a health care facility not to exceed 10 students per instructor.
- 2 years’ teaching experience is preferred.
- Passion for education and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of innovation and change.
- Proven track record for being a dynamic communicator, coach, and facilitator with a focus on student-centered, adaptive development.
- Strong presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to participate in extensive paid training prior to the start of classes.
- Ability to work on campus and clinical sites at least 3 days a week (8 hour shifts - up to 29 hours per week part time).
- The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
- Ability to sit or stand for six to eight hours.
