BryceTech is currently looking for a Contract Specialist to join our team located in Chantilly, VA! The candidate shall have the following experience:
The Contract Specialist will advise and assist in developing acceptable specifications and evaluation criteria, determine the method of procurement, issue the solicitation document, and conduct the contracting process. The Contract Specialist will need to draft contracts, sometimes negotiate pricing, and then cancel or modify contracts, evaluate bids, and maintain ongoing relationships with contractors This position will be part of a team of the BryceTech personnel providing SETA support to SDA in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include:
· Performs a range of contracting functions including award, administering, negotiating, terminating and closing out various types of cost and fixed price contracts.
· Performs a range of contracting functions including award, administering, negotiating, terminating and closing out various types of cost and fixed price contracts.
· Determines contractors eligible to bid/propose and whether or not sufficient competition is available.
· Coordinates responses to pre-bid/proposal inquiries and from those responses determine the need for and prepare solicitation amendments.
· Analyzes operations, methods and procedures in order to recommend changes necessitated by revisions in policy, procedures, or procurement management concepts.
Requirements (i.e., Education, Experience):
· Bachelor’s required; masters preferred
· Active Secret Clearance required
· 6-15 years of relevant experience in government contracting
· Strong written and oral skills
· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
· Experience with the DoD is a plus
· U.S. citizenship is required for this position
