THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Sports Psychologist will provide coaching, counseling, and leadership training support to scholar-athletes, coaches and athletics teams of the Bryn Mawr College Athletic Department. The Sports Psychologist will conduct individual mental health sessions with scholar-athletes, team sessions with 11 varsity athletics teams, consultations with coaches and Athletic staff. Will also deliver presentations on sports performance coaching to coaching staff and teams and conduct mental health screenings in collaboration with Athletic Training staff.
32 weeks, 18 hours per week (9 months)
$37,440 salary ($65/hour)
Start date: August 1, 2024
Master’s degree in counseling psychology or clinical psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with one (1) to two (2) years of prior experience in a counseling environment or a closely related field. Previous work with college-aged athletes preferred. Doctoral degree (e.g. PhD, PsyD) with a specialization or focus on sports psychology preferred.
Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and maintain malpractice insurance with required limits in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania upon application and during employment.
