BSA LifeStructures is looking for a Designer to work within our Architectural team in our Raleigh studio. The purpose of this position is to assist with developing design ideas, architectural documentation, and the delivery of assigned projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Architectural design and planning process on projects. Assist in client engagement through all processes and tools.
Prepares design presentation documentation, design process documentation, and working drawings.
May present limited portions of design to client, participates in consulting partner or design committee meetings and discusses need for modification for change.
Project delivery and support provided
Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
Communicates and improves some design processes with other team members.
May "own" limited portions of project delivery and works on documents / details to deliver specified portion of project within assigned workplan hours.
Pursue certification and/or licensure (if on a licensure track)
Minimize rework
Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Reads publications, attends presentations, and consults with various project personnel to establish design concepts
Promote company’s reputation through good client relations.
Continually increase technical knowledge of materials, products, and detailing.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; familiarity with Deltek Vision preferred.
