What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator (remote) position at BSA service?
The Sr. Estimator is responsible for the overall preparation of formal bids for kitchen and bath cabinets sales and countertops for the multi-family division of Cosmo Cabinets. The Sr. Estimator collaborates with the sales team, helping to create and maintain professional relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer blueprints, specifications and plans to accurately estimate job costs including materials and labor.
- Identify and recommend solutions to potential issues or conflicts that could impact the project costs, including cost reductions.
- Effectively communicate project costs so that it aligns with customer budget.
- Prepare detailed bid documents and verify the accuracy of the details before submission.
- Check sales contracts quantity and values against estimates prior to transferring to order department.
- Use NetSuite or other company platforms to communicate key information, keeping the bid board updated as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, and safety standards across the country.
- Interact and cultivate relationships with a variety of professionals in multi-family, senior living, assisted living, and architectural firms.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be detail-oriented
- Manage time well with accuracy
- Ability to problem solve in a creative manner
- Ability to communicate, build relationships, and work as a team
- Must be able to utilize Excel and project software, google, and more.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in estimating projects, job costs in the construction industry.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Construction estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
