Position: Asphalt Paving Superintendent

Location: Lebanon, TN

Duration: Full Time

Overview:

Oversee and manage the paving division to meet production schedules and quality specifications, ensuring smooth operations through strong leadership, problem-solving, and client/colleague interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise asphalt paving operations per DOT, local, and commercial specs.
• Handle project administration, scheduling, and on-site construction engineering.
• Manage materials, logistics, maintenance, and external services.
• Liaise between field crews, subcontractors, foremen, and upper management.
• Lead staff, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a positive work environment.
• Recruit, train, and retain crew focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Interpret architectural plans (application rates, grades, slope, drainage).
• Ensure projects are completed on budget and on time.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Skills:

• Extensive asphalt paving knowledge and equipment operation.
• Minimum 2 years as a Superintendent or 8 years as a Foreman in asphalt.
• Strong leadership, team-building, problem-solving, and communication skills.
