WHO WE ARE
BSB is a local CPA firm located in Hauppauge. We provide primarily tax and advisory services to small business clients throughout the tri-state area. We are a one-stop shop for all clients; we offer all the required accounting functions, tax and business planning, M&A advisory and more. Our goal is to provide exceptional service to every client and develop wholistic long term relationships. Our firm has been around for 40 years and has made significant investments to ensure our legacy carries on. We are actively growing and looking for talented professionals to grow with us.
Our busy season is typically no more than 55-65 hours per week with limited weekend days. We offer all employees SUMMER FRIDAYS. We recognize that while the tax season “crunch” may be unavoidable, our people should be compensated for their extra effort.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper to our growing team. TheBookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial records of numerous clients of the firm. They will be tasked with managing the period close for their assigned clients and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional work product.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ongoing maintenance of our clients QuickBooks files
- Recording & classification of deposits, checks, expenses, and credit card transactions
- Ongoing reconciliation of bank, credit card & loan accounts
- General ledger review & testing
- Preparation of client deliverables including financial statements
- Preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use tax returns
- Assisting with quarterly payroll tax filings, tax deposits and annual filings.
- Annual Form 1099 preparation
The qualified candidate will:
- Exhibit strong attention to detail & process
- Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects and independently manage deadlines
- Have strong technology skills and able to work in a paperless environment
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment
Job Requirements:
- Five plus years public accounting bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, primarily QuickBooks online
- Strong comprehension of Microsoft Excel

Pay: $64,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
