Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is supporting the analytics function for the Terminix brand and the associated data, processes and programming (e.g. SAS, R, Python, SQL, etc).
This analyst will act as an advisor to one or more business units (e.g. Marketing, Pricing, Product, etc.) helping them meet their business objectives.
They will routinely monitor their respective business unit metrics, models and reports to ensure statistical and financial rigor while pursuing continuous analytics improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Solving problems through data and reporting by performing exploratory analysis on a variety business related initiatives (Overlap analysis, Allocation, Response reporting, Customer profiling, etc.)
SAS (or R, Python, SQL, etc) Programming and data analytic support including data extraction, cleansing, match/merging and loading processes.
Subject Matter Expert on data issues and queries (e.g. Conversion Rate, USPS Zip Codes, Pricing, etc).
Data Conversions - Convert data from any format into SAS or related datasets for use in analytics.
Maintaining accountability for the analytics testing process including: initial approval, test site selection, measurement, rollout decision and exit strategy.
Participate in design, development and testing of databases, data services and requirements.
Software Maintenance including SAS (or R, Python, SQL, etc) and other function specific software
Data Management on the Server - (e.g. Customer Data, Mailing data files, Pricing data)
Server monitoring and Maintenance - Daily disk drive maintenance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, and 4+ years of progressive analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s degree in Business or Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics or a related field preferred
Expert knowledge of data infrastructure, analytics platforms (SAS, R, Python, SQL, etc) and reporting functions, concepts, practices, and procedures (e.g. Pricing, Marketing, Operations data, etc).
Experience with complex structured problem solving and critical thinking through data and analysis
Knowledge of business process development and change management and implementation practices
Knowledge of solution development and analysis skills and methodologies
Ability to clearly define and communicate strategic vision and expectations
Ability to lead implementation and adoption of strategy and process improvement
Experience working with centralized and field based operations customer data preferred
