What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician/RBT position at BT Services?
We are looking for a behavior technician or RBT to work 1:1 on Saturdays, approximately 4 hours a day to start.
Responsibilities
- Work with a young adult with autism on community integration and social skill activities.
- Work directly with the client to follow the established treatment plan/behavior support plan for implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures
- Establish and maintain effective, supportive, and therapeutic relationships with clients & families
- Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
- Provide training and/or support to the client in interpersonal skills, the development and maintenance of personal relationships, and in living in his/her community
Qualifications
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
- An upbeat and positive attitude- having fun through play!
- Able to transport the client in the local community
- Experience working with teens or young adults with autism
- Provide training and/or support to the client in interpersonal skills, the development and maintenance of personal relationships, and in living in his/her community
- Flexibility & Adaptability- every day will be unique & will present its own challenges
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
