What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality inspector position at BTC Electronic Components?
Responsibilities :
- Work with suppliers on rejected material and return the product if needed
- Perform inspection on products received from vendors, specifically aerospace fasteners
- Use gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure products
- Perform inspections at random to assess product quality
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team
- Remove products that don’t meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality
- Hold a high standard of quality for all products received, contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Ensure company compliance with customer requirements
- Ensure that part numbers are correct and accurate before adding them to the system
Basic Qualifications :
- College degree or equivalent experience, required
- Must have 5-10 years experience in the aerospace industry
- Must have extensive knowledge of calibration / inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, ring gages, plug gages, and radius gages)
- Must be able to read blueprints, diagrams, multitask and have some Computer skills
- Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
- Utilize Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Have a good working knowledge of aircraft fasteners
- Quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with high-performance teams
