Business Technology Integrators (BTI) Located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland has an opening for a Cybersecurity Engineer to work in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Security (OIS) on the Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) Baseline team.

Functional Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
- One or more of the following: IAT II, IAM II or IASAE II certifications.
- 5 years of Information Security Experience of which at least 3 years are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA).
- Provide enterprise baseline support to ensure VA compliance with federal security requirements, VA security requirements and Office of Inspector General OIG) findings.
- Support OIG finding remediation efforts and deliver OIG Remediation Reports.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise support for security impact analysis relating to the implementing/changing of enterprise baselines and providing recommendations to reduce and manage risk to VA.
- System security analysis of new security policies and emerging technologies, medical devices and internet of things that will be utilized by the VA.
- Develop and provide Device Configuration Baseline Implementation Plans and Baseline Configuration Reports describing the baseline configurations security posture and ensuring baseline approval from VA leadership.
- Develop and provide a Device Assessment Strategy Plan and Security Baseline Assessments.
- Communication: Provide effective, consistent, and clear communication to all key stakeholders such as the customer, project team, and other contract teams.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation as defined by the project requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, users, and internal teams, understanding their needs and expectations to drive successful project outcomes.
- Experience in cybersecurity engineering requirements and authorizations (FedRAMP/RMF) into systems and applications.
- Experience in IT and Cloud design, security, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
- Experience in large-scale Cloud solutions in federal and/or commercial industry.
- Experience with Federal A&A and ATO activities.
- Experience in Federal policies, processes, and standards.
- Must Be a US Citizen
- Experience with understanding STIGs
