What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Project Manager position at BTM Company?
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects from start to finish, including reading schematics and blueprints, managing time, and negotiating contracts.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
· The general purpose and position of the Project Manager is to integrate and oversee everything that needs to be done as projects evolve through its life cycle. This is to ensure that all of the project’s objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Communicate with customer(s) on issues of scheduling, information gathering, specifications, compliance, and buy-off issues.
· Coordinate the efforts of various departments through communications with the BTM management team.
· Verify compliance with the “scope” of the project through managerial oversight.
· Work with skilled tradesmen to qualify machinery through commissioning.
· Work with control design to ensure issues of specifications, project “scope”, customer(s) concerns, and sequence of operations.
· Work with vendors to ensure product or services will comply with BTM’s designs, schedules and budgets.
· Ensure compliance with the quoted budget.
· Ensure functioning of the machinery and the quality of the finished product.
· Maintain accurate records of communication for future verification.
· Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Manufacturing Engineer Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in the machine tool industry.
· Exposure to electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems.
· Customer/Vendor relations and negotiations.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Works (or similar software); machinery controls with PLC logic; machinery building and commissioning.
· Ability to logically reduce the root cause of issues and derive a solution.
· A level of mathematics associated with the job – algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
· Ability to communicate through reading, writing and speaking.
· Ability to consider abstract mechanical concepts and be able to work through highly mechanical communications.
· Ability to think clearly (common sense).
· Ability to communicate with fellow employees.
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
· Must be able to stand up to 90% of the day
EDUCATION:
· Associates Degree in Industrial Technology
