What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAI Coordinator position at BU_HS, Raytheon Technologies?

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to AS9100/AS9102 standards from an FAI perspective.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing processes to identify inspection points throughout the product realization phase.

  • Review supplier FAI’s for compliance against internal and external specifications.

  • Create FAI templates utilizing Discus software.

  • Attend engineering drawing reviews as a Quality representative.

  • Work with union and salaried persons alike across different functional groups to accomplish FAI’s.

  • Interface as necessary with suppliers and vendors to resolve FAI requests.

  • Engineering drawing and specification interpretation required.

  • Strategically work with interested parties to continually improve the FAI process to ensure process robustness.

  • Ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks concurrently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAI experience

  • Familiarity with AS9100/AS9102 standards

  • Experience interfacing with suppliers and vendors

  • Familiarity with GD&T – Hand on inspection experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Solumina, Microsoft Office, Net Inspect preferred.

  • Able to read, understand and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings

  • Experience with GD&T, SAP, Solumina, Microsoft Office, Net Inspect

  • Travel <10%
