What are the responsibilities and job description for the Module Support Technician position at BU_HS, Raytheon Technologies?
Primary Responsibilities:
Obtains necessary stock, fixtures, tooling and gaging
Operates manual and NC machines necessary to produce module parts. For example: Lathes, Grinders, ECM, Presses, Drills, Saws
Assist Finishing Technicians with direction
Performs handyman duties
Performs tumble and deburr operations
Performs clerk and tool crib duties Performs machining duties
Performs plating duties
Performs material processing duties
Performs in-process inspection as a certified operator
Performs computer transactions
Perform Alodine process operations
Cleans machines
Maintains housekeeping in work area
Handles, transports and stores RCRA hazardous waste as required
Knows and follows established environmental, health and safety procedures, including proper disposal of wastes (chemical and non chemical), use of emission controls, (i.e., spray booth filters) and operation of environmental-control equipment.
Uses/wears proper safety equipment (i.e., safety glasses, shoes, hoists and other lifting or moving equipment).
Brings environmental, health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety improvement suggestions to management's attention or corrects as appropriate.
Promptly reports accidents or injuries to management and EH&S team.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably technical school background, and demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing).
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
Competent with hand tools and experienced with measuring equipment
Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval
Able to obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job
8 hour RCRA hazardous waste handler training (initially and annually)
