Front Line Leader (Onsite)

This role supports factories in the Advanced Product Center (APC), Microwave Assembly Factory (MAF).  Leader will manage 18 to 20 Test or Production employees.  Plans and sets day-to-day operational objectives within a clearly defined area of responsibility for the team.  Assigns tasks to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.  Manages day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overhead charging, overtime for staff).  Communicates with parties within and outside of own team.  Ensures policies, practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.  Provides day-to-day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.  Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports.  Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Required Skills 

• A minimum of 2 years relevant leadership experience

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with some or minimal supervision

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with information technology systems

Desired Skills 

• Experience working in a manufacturing aerospace or defense

  industry environment

• Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma

• Experience working with a diverse array of personnel

• Strong safety focus

• Positive attitude and teaming skills needed

• Experience working in a microelectronics assembly factory or similar

  environment

• Familiarity with industry or military specifications advantageous

• Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement

Required Education

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
