Technician

Analog and Mixed Signal electronics test, troubleshooting, schematic capture, fabrication, and test equipment design.  The job requires a person that regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards in a lab environment.  Develops solutions to complex problems in the lab that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.  Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.  Work is performed with little, or no, direction.   Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.  Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization.  Interacts with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.  The job requires a person that represents the organization as the prime engineering technician contact on the project.  In this role, the person will interface with internal customers, senior engineers and PMO.

Required Skills:

Experience reading and understanding Schematics

Second Order electrical hardware test and troubleshooting for IRAD, developmental, and rapid prototyping hardware

Second Order test and troubleshooting of Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics

Use of hands and automated tools

Fabrication of developmental Hardware( in a structure that is not established, defined and detailed)

Electrical Design and Validation of experiment

Engineering Test  procedure creation

Electrical Analysis of Designs(Cables and Circuits)

Mentor DxDesigner

Mentor System Vision

Electrical Text box Design and Fabrication

Prototype Cable Design and Fabrication

Prototype Board Layout and Route(LPKF Router knowledge)

Creative thinking to solve engineering design problems
 

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project

management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
