Warehouse Supervisor

The position :
This position is responsible for the Warehouse, Inventory, Shipping & Receiving department.
You are responsible for maintaining correct and up-to-date inventory, pulling parts for assembly, supervising and overseeing the shipping and receiving clerk to get product received and shipped correctly and in a timely manner.
Job Duties include, but not limited to :
- Maintain the forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse equipment in good working order.
- Supervise the shipping and receiving clerk to ensure shipments are prepared properly with correct items for delivery with accuracy and speed.
- Ensure all incoming deliveries are properly verified, document, inventoried / stocked and ready for use by assembly.
- Oversee and handle any issues with shipping vendors as needed or to assist the shipping and receiving clerk.
- Learn NetSuite (our internal database) and proper Shipping, Receiving and Inventory procedures.
- Ensure Shipping and Inventory maintain proper documentation on shipping and receiving documents for internal and customer-facing interaction.
- Pull all parts from inventory shelves for assembly. This is very important part of your daily routine to ensure assembly continues to work.
- Coordinate with Support on Warranty returns or deliveries.
- Drive the company truck to pick up back inventory in our storage warehouse and supplies needed for production.
- You are expected to jump in to assist with packing when needed (usually at close of the week and month).
- Supervise and complete inventory counts in close coordination with Accounting and Purchasing. Ideally full inventory counts will be done at close of each quarter, but must be completed at a minimum twice a year.
Required experience & qualifications :
- Must have prior Warehousing, Inventory and Shipping / Receiving experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs, frequently, must be able to stand through shift.
- Must be over the age of 18 years old to work in the warehouse (inventory shelves, forklifts, shipping / receiving dock).
Must be able to and is required to wear steel toe shoes for up to 10 hours per day.
- Must have 3-year Forklift certification. (We can re-certify if previously held a certificate)
- Must have OSHA 10-hour certification (30-hour preferred).
- Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record. (CDL preferred, but not required).
- Able to utilize and work with software applications such as Word, Excel, shipping software and online systems, including email and international shipping forms.
- Strong written and oral communication, you will have to be clear and precise as you will be interacting with other areas, such as sales, warranty support, purchasing, accounting and sometimes directly with clients or vendors.
- Supervisor experience is required for this position, able to supervise employees assigned to your areas.
Drug Free Workplace :
We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen;
employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.
Hours, compensation and benefits :
Monday through Friday 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00PM with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour form 12 : 00PM to 1 : 00PM.
Must be flexible and able to work overtime when production demands are high usually at the end of the week, at the end of the month and during inventory counts.
