Overview
Full time individual role within the Financial Reporting Department focused on supporting the accounting goals of timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring proper accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and to contribute to the preparation/review/analysis of financial reporting packages to meet internal and external requirements as applicable. As the Staff Accountant, you are a member of the accounting team, and you are accountable for meeting the deadlines set by your manager, in-order for your team to meet internal and external reporting commitments to executives and business affiliates. This role reports to the Financial Reporting Manager.

Qualifications
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA Exam Eligible, preferred. The ideal candidate would either be holding or actively pursuing a CPA license
- 2 years accounting experience
- Experience in public accounting a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft product suite required

Responsibilities
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily cash reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and multiple business entities
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations that are accurate, understandable, satisfy external reporting requirements, and provide balance sheet integrity
- Assist in preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules that ensure a timely and efficient financial close
- Research and document GAAP accounting policies including, but not limited to, writing memos to support accounting treatment for unique transactions
- Prepare analysis of account balances and variance explanations
- Prepare basic manual journal entries on a monthly basis
- Assist with external auditor requests
- Assist in preparation of compliance reporting
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
