Production Planner and Scheduler

Bucher is a world-recognized aerospace leader providing aircraft interior and furniture parts throughout domestic and international markets. Our American entity, Bucher Aerospace Corp. is located in Everett, WA. Here we produce a variety of interior parts, e.g. table mechanisms, IFE deployment systems, aircraft seating parts, and other kinematics.

The Production Scheduler plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction by helping us to meet our deadlines and improving with our production efficiency and cost effectiveness.

The main responsibilities will consist of:

• Determines production priorities.
• Uses scheduling software to schedule jobs to meet customer requirements.
• Organizes production schedule by studying work-order specifications, current schedules, and availability of equipment, materials and employees.
• Publishes production schedule by identifying products, equipment, sequence, completion dates, etc.
• Monitors production by collecting production logs; comparing progress to schedule.
• Resolves scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions.
• Prepares reports by compiling and summarizing production/downtime data.
• Works closely with outside vendors, and internal representatives of other departments, e.g. sales, program management, quality, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Good organizational skills to be able to organize, to prioritize, and to coordinate multiple activities.
• Possesses excellent analytical and assessment skills in order to evaluate and to propose solutions highly complex issues and problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Quality System AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles desired.
• Familiar with ERP / MRP Systems
• Background with manufacturing methods and process improvements
• Proficient at Microsoft Office

Pay: $48,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
