Job Overview:
Responsible for day to day operations. Managing people, systems and processes to make sure that goods are dispatched and received properly, and that productivity targets are met. Responsible for workplace health and safety standards and the security of inventory and the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in planning, organizing and maintaining workflows in the warehouse
- Manage relationship with vendors to ensure market pricing on supplies and adequate stock kept on premise
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of warehouse machinery – not limited to forklifts, order pickers, pallet wrappers, pallet jacks, computers, printers and scanners.
- Ensure warehouse and surrounding area is kept in a clean and orderly condition
- Monitors stock control systems and processes specific orders.
- Ensures warehouse goals are met.
- Act as a mentor by providing leadership and expertise within the department
- Monitor and resolve workplace safety issues to keep employee safe by complying with company safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintains a high level of health and safety standards.
- Ensure that volunteer teams and special projects within the warehouse are implemented to a high standard.
- Other projects as assigned by Warehouse Director
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a warehouse setting
- Experience leading teams
- Safety training preferred
- First Aid certified (or willingness to become certified upon hire)
