Start Date: July 2024 Reports to: Head of School Job Summary: BB&N is seeking a full-time dynamic educator with strong athletic coaching and administrating experience to lead the athletic program. The Athletic Director reports to the Head of School and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. They will lead and administer the schools' athletic programs and physical education department. Specific responsibilities include: Manage the Nicholas Athletic Center (which includes a fitness center, ice hockey rink, basketball courts, and wellness center) Manage boat house and rowing equipment Oversee 77 teams and 80 coaches for grades 6-12 Hire, evaluate, and support all coaches (including faculty, administrative, and seasonal staff members) Supervise 11 full-time staff members and 3 PE teachers Manage a budget of $1.4 Million Maintain membership with The Independent School League and New England Prep School Athletic Conference Work in collaboration with Independent School League (ISL) athletic directors
