Buckingham Supply Chain Management (BSCM) is a designated central procurement division of Buckingham Companies with efforts to launch best-in-class efficiencies for serving internal customers’ supply chain needs. BSCM is seeking a procurement professional with customer service mindset that is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. As a Buyer you will be responsible for working closely with our organization to process purchase orders at correct commercial terms and specifications, negotiate materials, equipment, and services from vendors, and monitor purchase orders to ensure on time delivery.

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics or related field
- Procurement of construction items/services experience preferred
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work and succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and forecast procurement activities
- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, and subcontractor services for construction related projects
- Support operations with requisition to purchase order management and material order tracking
- Generate accurate purchase orders and distribute in a timely manner
- Facilitate and manage market request for quotes (RFQs)
- Support in the upkeep of enterprise asset list to ensure local and warranty compliance
- Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well‐organized work schedule
- Dealing effectively with supplier challenges and the flow of materials
- Ensuring compliance with the safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services
- Negotiating favorable commercial terms with suppliers once a contract has been secured
- Develop market knowledge and contracts for products and services
- Willing to work flexible hours, may include some weekends
