Buckley Cable Construction is a lead company in telecommunications. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and an Essential Workforce, and we are looking to hire a Telecommunication Ground Hand - General Laborer to our dynamic and growing team.
All applicants must be able to push/pull or lift approximately 50 pounds continuously. We will train all skills necessary to perform this position.
Job Description:
To perform tasks associated with the construction, maintenance and/or repair of aerial cable, television systems, phone, and internet.
Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
- Take directions from supervisor, work well independently or in collaboration with crew
- Perform routine construction related activities such as carrying equipment, climbing ladders, using hand tools, manual digging, general clean up, etc.
- Able to drive and operate bucket truck and other related equipment
- Able to flag and direct traffic as needed
- Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
- Ability to climb poles, ladders, and use bucket trucks as needed
- Ability to work on call, evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and pull 75 pounds several times each day
- Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, and walking
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Reliable Transportation (required)
Education
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (required)
