Budtender

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serving every customer with top notch customer service and product knowledge.
• Smiling and promptly greeting all customers and welcoming them to BudBarn.
• Cash handling/register use.
• Determining each customer’s need and answers questions concerning strains and products. If necessary, partnering with Shift Leads to ensure the customer has a good experience.
• Recommending additional and complementary products and/or strains based on the information provided by the customer or item already selected for purchase.
• Helping to eliminate and/or reduce potential theft of product by attention to detail.
• Ensuring that the correct price, product, tax and/or discounts are applied correctly to each sale.
• Working weekends and some holidays.
• Taking initiative to stay informed on new or existing products and is knowledgeable about their ingredients and potential benefits to better serve customers.
• Assisting in the packaging and labeling of cannabis products.
• Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements & Preferences:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of experience in retail, restaurant, or service-related environments. Cannabis related preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or identification and have reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft office and Google Docs.
• Open availability including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to work and thrive in a very fast paced, high transaction volume, team environment.
• Poses good organizational and decision-making skills.
• Analytical, detail oriented and proactive.
• Desire to improve skill set and willingness to learn and take feedback and coaching.
• Continuous mobility through the dispensary daily including but not limited to standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching throughout the shift. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
