Position: Vice President, Client Services
Position Summary:
Our growing organization is looking for a Vice President of Client Services to manage delivery of exceptional contract support to both government and commercial customers.
The Vice President of Client Services is a multi-dimensional role responsible for the leadership, strategic planning, and delivery of services and resources for successful contract performance and programs. This role will support and oversee subcontract, joint-venture, and partner teams and will align service delivery with customer expectations. The successful candidate will implement the company’s strategic and financial objectives, with a focus on quality control, efficiencies, improvements, expansion, and culture.
Clearance Requirement: Active DoD – Top Secret.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This senior-level role is responsible for a Profit & Loss (P&L) portfolio consisting of government and commercial contracts throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. This role is responsible for sustaining and organically growing business and best practices in support of strategic goals. The successful candidate will provide proposal support for existing and new contracts. This executive position will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will actively engage with senior management in charting the future of the company.
Primary responsibilities/duties:
- Develop strategic plans and budgets for the successful execution of customer contracts.
- Capture new work and expand current support within customer sets.
- Develop and sustain relationships with customers to ensure that all deliverables are successfully met.
- Manage technically complex firm-fixed-price (FFP), cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF), time and materials (T&M) contracts and programs.
- Improve performance, productivity, and quality of current programs and projects.
- Establish the infrastructure and controls to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of contracts and programs.
- Work with the Corporate Operations Manager to ensure contract team members are connected to the company and culture.
- Perform program financial management, including developing P&L targets, financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliations, and margin enhancement.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance and activities.
- Develop, review, and approve plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
- Additional responsibilities may be required based on business needs.

- Plan and implement technology that results in optimal performance and company growth.
- Estimate and establish cost parameters, budgets, and potential ROI.
- Collaborate with team leadership to create long-term plans and improvements.
- Provide support and mentorship to leadership and team members.

Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree (preferred)
- PMP certification (preferred)
Background and Experience:
- 15 years in a related operations management position with P&L responsibilities.
- 8 years of experience supporting government contracts.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent technical skills and operations management experience.
- Experience capturing new work and organic growth.
- Experience with Civilian and DoD government contracts.
- This position requires travel both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Proficiency using spreadsheets and implementing and managing systems.
- Familiarity with GSA schedule contracts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
