Description
The Corporate Controller is responsible for the direct supervision of all accounting and finance responsibilities for the organization including maintaining strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy of general ledger, overseeing financial reporting and analysis, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll processing, fixed assets, budgeting, tax, policy and procedure development, and cash management. The Corporate Controller must possess solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills while also having knowledge of all aspects of GAAP.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages all accounting operations and accounting department staff including the selection, orientating, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining of team members.
Managing the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
Responsible for reconciliations including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and insurance and provider reimbursement statements.
Facilitates the month-end and year-end close process including monthly account reconciliations, schedules, and analysis.
Working and communicating with CFO/Director of Operations to guide the organization’s financial decisions.
Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics.
Monitors banking activities and ensures adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs.
Prepares and publishes timely monthly reporting packages to management.
Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
Responsible for financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Manages and complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Oversees the coordination and activities of independent auditors and the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required
8 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting field with 5 years’ experience as a Financial Controller or Accounting Manager required
Health care experience required
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures required
Excellent verbal and written communications abilities across all levels of an organization
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA Preferred

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
