POSITION: Community Resource Leader II - Provisional
SALARY: $51,626 - $61,821

Distinguishing Features of the Class
The Community Resource Leader II works under the leadership of the Office of Parent and Family Engagement Instructional Specialist III and the Office Strategic Alignment and Innovation Director to provide resources for students, parents, families, and the community. Supports facilitation of parent engagement activities and community schools – Saturday Academy programming and provides outreach to parents in extended learning opportunity programs through community schools evening events.
The Community Resource Leader II (CRL II) assists with the planning and implementing of academic, socioemotional, health and wellness, parental support, and additional programs to support the BPS Parent Centers and twenty-four community schools. Works collaboratively with various contracted community-based organizations for both departments to provide robust, engaging programming – the CRLII assists with organizing various district parent engagement initiatives and monitors appropriate extended learning program operations.
This position would support the strong community schools’ initiatives. Acts as a liaison between the central office, the CBOs, and the Community Schools. This person would support various program planning and provide ongoing support and resources to the community schools. Additionally, this position would support advertising and social media networking for Community Schools and Parent Centers. This person would serve as a resource to the Say Yes community school navigators regarding programming and logistical needs of the Saturday Academies.
Typical Work Activities

Assists with the coordination and implementation of various student and parent programming and courses;

Prepares and implements social media advertising;

Collaborates with Say Yes and CBOs for upcoming Community School programming and events.

Assists with the promotions of upcoming Saturday Academies for all BPS Community Schools.

Supports data collection for various programming;

Works with the budget and purchase department to order and distribute allowable supplies and materials to the twenty-four community schools;

Assists schools and CBOs with the registration of programming;

Provides support at various events, including event tables;

Acts as a liaison, assisting parents with connecting to community resources, agencies, and programs;

Prepares and maintains records and reports regarding activities and follow-ups;

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with course work in human services, communications or a closely related field and four (4) years full-time experience in school and/or community-related work;
OR
-
Associate degree from an accredited college or university with course work in human services, communications or a closely related field and six (6) years of full-time experience in school and/or community-related work involving students.
