Primary Duty:
The primary duty of the ROS is to manage the distribution and merchandising functions in the
assigned area, market segment, or stores, including supervision of assigned DMS, CDRs, RAMs, and
AMs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable
laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems; making recommendations regarding changes in status.
Education and Experience:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
At least 3 plus years of Sales and Management Experience (or management approval): Required
Certifications and License:
Valid state Class A CDL driver license, for state of residence, with a good driving record
preferred. Minimum Class A CDL is required within 90 days of accepting position.

Essential Functions
• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required
to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends,
holidays. May require travel. May be required to be on-call.
• Managing the delivery and merchandising function.
• Supervising the assigned employees, which may include DMs, RAMs, CDRs, and AMs.
• Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining
subordinate employees, and making recommendations with regard to promotions, demotions, and other
changes of status.
• Establish and monitor all operations and objectives through the efficient use of our total
retail route operation system.
• Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance to Company Policy and Procedures.
• Take ownership of the Team Concept to ensure the group's success.
• Communicate with the RSM/ADC/ROM all new account opportunities.
• Notify RSM/ADC/ROM of any change to an existing account, including ownership or closure, etc.
• Properly complete all required paperwork to Company Policy and timeline.
• Ensure subordinates monitor all assigned accounts for CDA compliance.
• Ensure employee-partners know each manager/buyer at each account by name and keep them
updated on all Buffalo Rock Company pricing, new product, and any information pertinent to mutual
business needs.
• Ensure employee-partners deliver-in all current and future products, including all brands and
packages distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company following the Merchandising Standards.
• Ensure employee-partners continuously seek authorization and full distribution for all
current and future products distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company.
• Ensure employee-partners communicate daily any product shortages, product returns, refused
orders, changes to next delivery order, account information changes, or any operational items.
• Ensure that all marketing programs with assigned /selected accounts are implemented and
maintained, and report and remedy any non-compliance under the Merchandising Standards.
• Support the attainment of Strategic Execution Objectives.

on an on-going basis as it relates to the Functional (Safety, Handheld Operation, Settlement,
Etc.), Practical (Policies /Procedures from the Company, Divisional, and Corporate Security
Manuals), Merchandising Standards (sales, product distribution, trays, crate, and CO2 retrieval),
and all other aspects of their assigned duties.
• Must cover (work) open positions created due to employee vacations, personal days, turn-
over, and change of job position or route when needed.
• Assist in store resets, running Hot Shots, building displays, and making bulk deliveries,
when needed.
• Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships. Communicate with key
accounts weekly/biweekly.
• Regularly review relevant existing policies/procedures for possible change.

and coolers whether the account is open or closed.
• Ensure that all accounts of the assigned employee-partners requiring “weekend and holiday”
merchandising are serviced adequately, either by assigned employee-partners or assigned Sales
Support employee-partner based on the Division’s established rotation
• Ensure that all assigned employee-partners keep all forms of communication turned on in
accordance with department guidelines.
• Review customer call-in reports daily and address any issues promptly with the customer and
the employee-partners.
• Ensure that all Delivery trucks are inventoried correctly at both check out and check in, and
that the corresponding correct count is reflected on both the inventory sheet and the hand-held
computer (if applicable).
• Know each manager/buyer at each account by name and keep them updated on all Buffalo Rock
Company information pertinent to mutual business needs.
• Ensure that all marketing programs with assigned /selected accounts are implemented and
maintained, and report and remedy any non-compliance under the Merchandising Standards
• Assist with the collection of any missing invoices, or DSDs, and in the collection of any
overdue account balances and bad check payments.
• Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, which may include but are not limited
to business conduct policies, business ethics policies, legal policies, and delivery and
merchandising policies.
• Responsible for following SOP on meeting schedule and guidelines (i.e. weekly, monthly and
quarterly) as directed.
• Coach, train, develop and assist employee-partners in accomplishing their assigned goals and
responsibilities.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews with employee-partners.
• Ensure all assigned employee-partners service their assigned routes daily, and in the event
of their absence make sure the route is worked.
• Ensure all accounts serviced by the assigned employee-partners have received their scheduled
delivery before the end of scheduled business day and/or week.
• Ensure all assigned employee-partners report to work daily and on time in accordance with
department guidelines.
• Understand and use when needed the counseling and progressive discipline as outlined in the
Company Policy Manual.
