About us
Builders Building Supply is a new building supply opening soon in the Wiregrass area. We supply lumber, siding, flooring, plumbing, electrical, hvac, and much more and are growing every day. This position is a role for someone who can help us grow our warehouse operations and increase our order capacity. We are looking for a positive and hardworking person who is able to solve problems and create systems. Feel free to message us with any questions and apply.
Pay is based on industry experience.
Schedule is 7:00am to 4:00pm with occasional flexibility needed to accept deliveries.
Yard Supervisor Essential functions:
- Personnel management and training
- Supervise picking of material for pickup and delivery orders
- Ensure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing freight
- Positive interactions with customers and employees
- Maintain accurate inventory
- Provide a safe work environment
- Forklift operating
- Supervise forklift training
- Assist with loading & unloading trucks
- Assist with overall facility maintenance
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record / Ability to be insured
- Ability to obtain a CDL-B if needed
- 3 years industry experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Self motivated, leadership skills, team player
- Ability to accurately meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Above average knowledge of products and equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Ability to coordinate daily activities and promote teamwork
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
